We started our papier-mache pumpkins on Friday last. We stuffed black plastic bags with old newspapers and used masking tape to close them and tape them into pumpkinesque segments.
We made our glue from flour, water and salt. We used it to stick strips of newspaper to the bag. It was messy work.They have spent a number of days drying.
As of yesterday, they looked like slightly soggy oversized garlic but today we started priming and painting them orange. Tomorrow we will put the finishing touches to them
